An iconic animated series
Happy Tree Friends was birthed in San Francisco by pioneering web animators in the early dot-com boom. This series found a cultish following in the adult animation genre. Each episode features adorable woodland creatures getting mutilated in countless disgusting ways. The series became Mondo Media’s most famous show, gaining international fans faithfully dedicated to the misfortunes of these poor characters.
Storyboards
When the show moved from web to TV the length increased from 2 to 7 minutes. The example below shows one of the the episodes I storyboarded, followed by the finished product.
